Join us as a participant in the Blackberry Jam’s eclectic parade on Saturday morning through the streets of Lowell. Kids, floats, bands and other enthusiastic parade entries are welcome.
Doug moved to the Lowell area in 1956 with his family and resides in Fall Creek. He attended school in Lowell where he was active in football, wrestling and baseball, and graduated in 1968.
In 1982, Doug survived an event that significantly changed his life. The downed electrical line may have taken his right leg and left arm, but it didn't take his spirit or his ability to make a major and continuing difference in our community. Any friend will tell you that Doug is one of the hardest working people they know and is always willing to help others.
Doug is no stranger to the Blackberry Jam Parade -- he's usually the one on the tractor at the end, helping clean up after the horses. Congratulations, Doug, on getting in on the start of the parade!
