Blackberry Fun

BLACKBERRY PIE
  3 cups blackberries
  1 cup sugar
  3 tbs flour
  1 tbs grated lemon rind
  4 tbs butter
Combine flour, sugar and rind in mixing bowl. Add berries. Using your favorite pie crust, line a pie tin. Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter. Pour in berries mix. Cover with a top lattice crust. Bake at 400* for 15 minutes. Reduce to 325* and bake another 20 to 30 minutes.
BLACKBERRY SYRUP
2 cups blackberry juice (1-1/2 quarts                   blackberries)
2 cups sugar
2 cups white corn syrup
Measure juice into 6 or 8-quart pot. Bring juice to a boiling then add sugar, stirring until dissolved.  Add corn syrup, heat to boiling and simmer for five minutes. Pour into hot, sterilized jars. Seal lids with screw bands. Place container in boiling water for 10 minutes.
